Hi there! My name is Alaura, and I am a Chicago-based photographer with a love of great art, true stories, and old-school glamour. 

I believe in romanticizing life for the joy of it. Fine teacups on a Wednesday, bouquets for no reason–all the little luxuries. I also believe in loud laughs, bold moves, and breaking the rules every once in a while. Everyone has main character energy, and I thrive when showcasing it.

Though I've shot just about every photography style in the last 10+ years, my strength and passion lie in artful, authentic imagery. A blend of fine art and photojournalism, if you will. Think of my approach as showcasing your unique story in its most flattering light.

I aim to provide an upbeat environment for you to feel comfortable (and have fun!) in front of the camera. Whether we're out in Chicago or in your home, I want your session experience to be just as fun as the final photo delivery.
